Yugdeepak Soni is a Rajasthan-based artist. His works are rendered in the characteristic Pichwai style of folk art that is native to the region. Traditionally Pichwai works are made on cloth and hung from walls, commemorating or narrating stories through scenes based on myths, folklore and classic tales. Soni contemporizes these themes through modern compositions, striking colours and a use of subjects depicting freedom, beauty and joy.
