Manjunath Wali received his B.V.A. from Hampi University College, Banashankari and his M.F.A. from Vijaya College of Fine Art, Gadag. His paintings comprise an interesting mix of architectural elements inspired by the ancient ruins of the Vijayanagara Empire, and contemporary life in the region. The structures or the primary subject of the artwork are superimposed with detailed imagery of motifs that represent what life in this setting looks like in present times. The emerging artist has exhibited extensively in Bangalore and other cities; and has received both state-level and national recognition. Manjunath lives and works in Bangalore.
